FRUIT EXPORT CONTROL.

ADOPTED BY THE GROWERS.

LARGE MAJORITY IN FAVOUR.

PROVINCIAL ISSUES DEFEATED,

The fruitgrowers have adopted the Dominion fruit export control scheme. Local or provincial control was universally nega.tived.

The results, of tho official count of rotes recorded under the Act passed last session were announced to-day. The proposal that the Act bo brought into operation for control of the export of fruit was carried by a large majority. The voting was as follows: —For tho proposal, 191 j against, 40. The total votes recorded were 231, and the number of voters eligible to vote, 291. Tho result of tho voting on the question of provincial control, for which a poll of 6 per cent, of those eligible to vote was required to adopt it, was as follows:— Quota reRoll. quired. For. Agst.
