A Syrian hawker, Joseph Nohra, was to-day fined £25 for loitering in Cathedral Square for purposes of betting, and £10 on each of two charges of having made bets at totalisator odds. It was alleged that defendant was acting as agent for a bookmaker. A tobacconist, William Henry Pullen. was fined £100 for using his shop as a common gaming house.
