A CONVICTION RECORDED.

Reserved judgment in the case in which the Ellis Manufacturing Company was prosecuted for selling "Carbogen" disinfectant in a bottle bearing the embossed inscription, "California Fig Syrup," was given by Mr. J. W. Poynton, S.M., yesterday.

The magistrate said that although the bottle bore defendants' own paper label to tho effect that the contents were disinfectant, thero was, nevertheless, a risk of mistake.
