AN APPLICATION REFUSED.

TRIAL TO PROCEED TO-MORROW.

The decision of Mr. Justice Reed in an application for a stay of proceedings pending the granting of security for costs in the action by Surfdale Estates, Ltd., against John, James and Helen Paterson, was given yesterday.

His Honor declined to order plaintiffs to give security as asked for by d&fendants.

When the case was opened 'on Tuesday the defendants secured an adjournment until yesterday on the ground that insufficient time had been allowed for pre paration of the defence. It is announced, however, that the case will not be proceeded with until to-morrow morning.
