THE WAITEMATA BOARD.
ELECTING NINE MEMBERS.
POLLING TAKES PLACE TO-DAY.
The election for tho purpose of selecting nine members for the Waitemata Power Board is to take place to-day. Keen interest is being taken in this election and it is expected that the polling will be heavy. Four members arc to be elected to represent the Waitemata County and Helensville Town District; four to represent tho combined boroughs of Takapuna, Birkenhead, and Northcote; and one representative for the combined Henderson and Glen Eden town districts.
Tlio candidates are as follow:—
Waitemata County and Helensville Town District, combined.—Messrs. F. W. Grigg, J. Mackie, J. Hand, J. McLeod, J. C. Rimmer, IT. A. Robertson, C. 0. Shuttleworth, 11. D. Stewart, and C. S. West.
Combined Boroughs of Takapuna, Birkenhead and Northcote.—Messrs. H. Cadness, A. E. Greenslade, J. W. Hayden, W. E. Richardson, M. E. Thompson, and E. C. Walton.
Combined Henderson and Glen Eden Town Districts.—Messrs. B. Hart. W. R. T. Leighton, W. H. Shepherd, and J. M. West.
Polling wiil take place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the following polling places:—Durham Chambers, Durham Street East (round Stewart Dawson's corner), Auckland; Upper Waiwera Hall, Silverdale Hall, Wainui Hall, Whangaparoa Hall, Brown's Bay School, Albany Coronation Hall, East Coast Road, Takapuna, Mr. J. R Penning's resideuce; Titirangi, Bishop's Kiosk; New Lvnn Town Board Office, Greenhithe Hall, Glenfield Mission Hall, Kaukapakapa Public Hall, Maharau Hall, Helensville Town Board Office, Riverhead Public Hall, Tyumen Public Hall, Waimauku Public Hall, Woodhill Public Hall, Taupaki Public Hall, Parakai Hall, Hobsonvillo Hall, Brigham's Creek, Sinton's Store; Waitakero Post Office Store, Swanson Public Hall, Oratia Fruitgrowers' Hall, Te Atatu Methodist Church. Henderson Foresters' Hall, Dairy Flat Post Office, Glen Eden Town Board Office, Bayswater. Feaver's Store; Belmont, Presbyterian Hall; Takapuna Council Chambers, Milford Parish Hall, Birkenhead Borough Council Office. Northcote Borough Council Office, Chelsea Post Office, Birkdale Methodist, Schoolroom. Clark's Store, Hinemoa, Street; Whennapai Hall. At the Durham Chambers booth people may vote from any district for their particular candidates.
