LIFT ACCIDENT VICTIM.
THE INQUEST ADJOURNED.
An inquest into tho death of George Frederick Cox, who died at his homo as the result of injuries received in the lift in Palmerston Buildings on Tuesday afternoon, was opened before the coroner, Mr. W. 11. McKean, S.M., yesterday. I', was adjourned until Saturday after evidence of identification had been taken.
Mr. Cox was taking a heavy case in a hand-truck in the lift when the case overbalanced, knocking him against tho side of the lift and inflicting injuries to his head and thighs. It was incorrectly stated yesterday that tho accident took place in tho Ferry Buildings lift.
