LEVEL CROSSING ACCIDENT
ELDERLY MAORI INJURED.
EXPRESS STRIKES MILK CART.
The Rotorua express, which left Auckland yesterday morning, collided with a horse-drawn milk waggon at a level crossing near Ohinewai. The vehicle was completely smashed, and two men who were in it were thrown out. As a result, an elderly Maori, George Horima, contractor, of Ohinewai, was admitted to the Waikato Hospital at Hamilton yesterday, suffering from injuries to the head. It is not considered that tho injuries are of a very grave nature. The train was delayed for about 20 minutes.
