TWENTY TIMES MISTAKEN.
INNOCENT MAN'S ARREST.
Arrested as n pickpocket, and bound over by the Guildhall magistrate, Flank Gross. ';i clerk, was acquitted at the Guildhall Quarter Sessions. Three detectives had .said they saw Gross put his hand into the pockets of 20 different women. Gross denied this, and evidence was given that he was a man of exceptionally good character. The chairman said he believed the police had made ;n honest mistake. Gross left the Court without a stain on his charactar.
