ONEHUNGA RATEPAYERS.
PREVENTION OF SPEEDING.
The first annual meeting of the Onehunga Ratepayers' and Citizens' Association was held on Thursday evening.
A deputation to wait on the Borough Council will ask for support in requesting the City Tramway Department to make a reduction in the fares for apprentices. A me.'-'iber drew attention to the continued speeding on the part of motorcyclists. Only that afternoon he saw two of the;n racing across Mangero Bridge and up the hill on tho other sido, going the courso four times. Tho deputation will also bring this matter before the council.
The election of officers resulted:—President, Mr. F. H. Dodd; vice-president, Mr. C. West; secretary, Mr. J. Sargent; treasurer. Mr. E. Stacey; committee, Messrs. H, Jones, 11. W. Scott, T. McKeuver, A. N. Challis, C. Garnham, L. S. Drager, S. R. Keogli, D. Williams and F. Thursby.
