The list of matters to bo dealt with by the Arbitration Court, which opens its Auckland sitting at the Supreme Court next Monday, • includes several industrial disputes. Among these are th) following: —Freezing Works and Relaled Trades, Auckland Electrical Workers, Auckland Dairy Employees, Cooks and - Stewards (Kaipara Shipping Company and sniEkll coastal boats), and Auckland Abattoir Assistants. . .
Miscellaneous applications inc'udo 13 for leave to add parties to award?.. There are five applications for amendment of awards, six for exemption, aid one for interpretation. Matters in connection with the Apprentices Act, 1923. total three. The plumbers and gasfitlers (Whangareij are applying for an order of the Court for governing rales, while the painters and decorators are seeking an interpretation. Cases under tho Workers' Compensation Act, 1908, number six. These include the cases of Sullivan v. Union Steam Ship Company, Ltd., Driscoll v. Leonard and Dingley, Ltd., Payne v. Auckland Trotting Club, and Logan v. Wilsons Colliers, Ltd.
