THE MUNICIPAL BAND.
The Municipal Band will present an interesting programme at the Zoological Park on Sunday afternoon. Included in the items-will be " Light Cavalry " overture, a se.ection from Massenet's " Herodias," a beautiful and melodious suite. " Venezia," by Cuthelbert Nevin, hymn tunes, bright marches, and other tuneful numbers. Several open-air performances are to bo given in the Auckland parks by the Municipal Band during the next few weeks. A schedulo of performances for December, and January was approved by the City Council at its meeting last evening. Most of the fixtures are set down for the Zoological Park and the Town Hall, but the band is to give free evening per formanc.es at Albert Park on Decembe 17, the Domain Gardens on January 7, and Point Erin Park on January 21.
