Wednesday. *' • A young man, William Russell Matthews, of Palmerston North, an electrician employed at the Mangahao Power «•'- ? _ was admitted to hospital this morning iu an unconscious condition, suffering from burns and a fracture of the base of jMih * skull. He died this evening without recovering consciousness. I The deceased, who was 23 years of age, came into contact with an electric current of 11,000 volts, the shock causing him to * fall six or eight feet.
