PICTURES FOR CANADA.
AUCKLAND ARTISTS' WORK.
The Canadian Exhibition authorities have recently chosen a number of pictures by New Zealand artists from among those shown in tho Fine Arts Pavilion in the New Zealand section of the Empire Exhibition, for exhibiting next year at Toronto. Tho selection includes two works by Auckland artists, namely, The Long Trail," bv Miss B. C. Dobie, and " Nikau Palms'," by J. W. Ash. Auckland was very scantily represented at Wembley, and it is to be hoped that, should the exhibition be reopened next year, our local artists will make a more worthy show.
