DESTROYING BLACKBERRIES.
Sir,—A few weeks ago I read an article ' in your paper about a man strolling into -"• your office with some blackberry plants in a sugar bag. lam intensely interested in the destruction of this noxious plant, i as, during the past ten years, I have had I a good deal of experience with same, and 1 agree that the Franklin County's Reserve, in which Mr. Wilford ia the present tenant, is an ideal spot in which to make an experiment. But blackberries, which have been treated some time ago, are today growing very vigorously from th# roots. I dug some up, so seeing with the naked eye is believing. Papaxtjsu. Fabmsb.
