AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE.

There was again good demand for investment stocks on the Auckland sharemarket on Saturday. In Government securities War Loan, 1930, had inquiry at £97. The 1939 War Loan issue, which sold on the previous day at £97 10s, -was sought at £97 7s 6d, without response. Soldiers' Bonds and Inscribed Stock were again inquired for at £101. holders of Inscribed Stock quoting £101 10s. In ordinary debentures New Zealand Breweries changed hands at 21s 6d, further buyers offering 21s sd, sellers 21s 7d. In banks New Zealands again had buyers at 59s 3d, sellers 59s 9d; Nationals of New Zealand, buyers £6 lis, sellers £6 14s. Union of Australia, rights, wanted at 46s 3d, were quoted at 48s. In insurance buyers of New Zealands offered 29s Bd, sellers again quoting 30s. South British were again quoted at 435, buyers offering 425. In coal Tanpiris had sale at 18s 3d, more being available at the same price, buyers 18s. In gas there was a sale of Aucklands at 24s 9d, at which price the shares were quoted on the previous day. Further buyers offered 24s 7d, sellers 24s 9d. In shipping Huddart-Parkers were sought at 425, sellers again quoting 435. Buyers of P. and 0. Deferred Stock reduced their offers by £3 to £295, sellers quoting £305. In mining Waihis, which sold on Friday at 25s 9d and 265, had inquiry at 25s 6d, sellers 26s 6d. Buyers rrt Moanataiaris increased their offers by .Id to 2s Id, sellers advancing their quotations by 4d to 2s 7d. - The following sales took place:—New Zealand Breweries Debentures, 21s 6d; Tjiupiri Coal, 18s 3d; Auckland Gas, 24s 9d.
