MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.

TOUR BY HON. C, J. PARR. The Minister for Education and Justice, the Hon. C. J. Parr, arrived in Auckland yesterday. To-day he will be engaged in private business, and will leave this afternoon for the Waikato. He will visit Hamilton, Matamata, Morrinsville and Te Aroha on business connected with the Education and Justice Departments. Hamilton and Matamata school committees are pressing for the establishment of junior high schools, and the applications and circumstances will be personally investigated by the Minister. Next week the Minister will, in all probability, Visit Whangarei, travelling overland, and then go to Helensville, by way of Dargaville, afterwards returning to Auckland. This tour is also in connection with educational and .J udl " ftl matters. The Director of Education, Mr. Caughley, will accompany the Minister on both tours. , The Hon. J. G. Ooates, Minister for Public Works and Railways, inaugurated the construction of another section of the East Coast Main Tmnk railway on baturday. He returned to Wellington by last evening's express train, having travelled overland from Tauranga by motorcar to Frankton. The Minister for Internal Affairs, the Hon. R. F. Bollard, arrived in Auckland vesterday. After visiting Hamilton on Saturday, the Minister, who is accompanied by his private secretary, Mr. EN. E. Poulton, will leave for Wellington this evening. . The Minister /for Health, Sir Mam Pomare, will arrive in Auckland this week. On Thursday he will open the new" nurses' home at the Whangarei Hospital, of which he laid the foundation stone m December last. The Minister will be absent from Wellington for about a week.
