Ihe tone of the Auckland sharemarket was unchanged yesterday there being good demand for investment stocks. In Government securities War Loan, 1939. changed hands at £97 10s, late buyers offering £97 7s 6d. Inscribed Stock, 1927-41 again sokl at £98 15s with further inquiry at £98 ss, late sellers quoting £99. Soldiers bonds and Inscribed Stock had inquiry at £101. In banks New* Zealands were again sought at 59s 3d, sellers 59s 9d. Nationals of New Zealand again had buyers at £6 lis, sellers, £6 14s; Australasias buvers, £13 Is, sellers, £13 6s 6d. Union of Australia rights inquired for at 46s 6d had sellers at 47s 9d. In insurance buvers of New Zealands offered 29s Bd, sellers again quoting 30s. South British had buyers at 425, sellers, 435. In coal Taupiris advanced 3d buyers offering 17s 9d, sellers 18s 3d. Waipas were quoted at a .. a . Westports at 38s. In gas * o/i Were UDchan ged with buvers at 24s 7d, s.ellers, 24s 9d. In shipping there was a sale of Huddart-Parkers at , 6d late buyers offering 42s 3d, sellers , 43s Buyers of P. and 0. Deferred Stock advanced their offers bv £6 to £298, sellers quoting-£302. In miscellaneous stocks New Zealand Breweries had sa e at 28s further buyers offering 27s 6d, sellers, 28s 6d. In mining there were transactions in Wailns at 26s and 25s 9d ate buvers offering the latter figure, Balers, 265. Buyers of Moanataiaris advanced their offers by 3d to ?s sellers again quoting 2s 3d.
