CANADA AND PACIFIC.
HALIBUT CONVENTION.
(Received 7.5 p.m.) Renter. OTTAWA. Oct. 11. The first "treaty" to be signed by a representative of Canada which does rot bear also the signature of the British Ambassador will pass through its final stage when the formal ratification of the Pacific Halibut Convention is exchanged in Washington about October 21. Mr. Ernest Lapointe, Minister for Justice, will go to Washington for the purpose.
