NOTES ON THE FORM. [BIT TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.} MASTERTON, Saturday. Pantler won his race at Maaterton on Friday with great ease. His viotory was expected by his connections, as the Panmure gelding has been working exceptionally well on the tracks. Black Rock, a Mountain Knight gelding, from the once good sprinter Lady Black, tfon the Masterton Maiden flate in very convincing style, and looks sure to win again soon. He waited on the fit/Id till half-wpy up the straight, and then won as he liked. Mireusonta, who has been off the scene for some time, gave a taste of his brilliancy when produced at Masterton on Friday. He jumped out and was up with the leading division till after turning for home. His turn will come soon. Rose of Athens did not look well when stripped for her race on Friday, and she ran very badly.

Last Crust was running a good race in the Masterton Flying Handicap till hir- rider lost one of the reins.

Rouex showed an extraordinary improvement at Masterton on Otaki form.

Festivity stripped a very fit horse for the Masterton Cup, and'was iust beaten for second place, but the honours of the race were with Merry Day, who carried top weight, and rave nothing else a chance over the last urlong. Degage. who won at Masterton, is from that good mare, Miss Do Val. She goes very fast, but is not very smart at the barrier. Degage was riddsn by the Auckland light-weight, H. Wiggins, who had a vei« comfortable ride. Ifegalo, who won the JTJectrjo Handicap at Masterton, is by Mountain Knight from Helice, and is a nice looking chestnut. Her connections were very confident of her success* but tho public let her run against them, and she paid a big double figure dividend.
