DARGAVILLE BRANCH.
USEFUL WORK PERFORMED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWV CORRESPONDENT.] DARG-A V JLLiLB. Saturday. The second annual meeting of the Dargaville branch of the Plunket Society was held on Thursday, the Mayor, Mr. R. G. Hornblow, presiding. The president, Mrs. Alfred E. Harding, in her report, gave a review of the year's operations, showing that the branch is new firmly established, and doing good work over a large area. There are 160 members. Nurse Graham's report showed that the visits paid to homes during the year tilled 1625, while 998 adults and 833 children called at the rooms. JFhe balance-sheet showed assets, including cash, amounting to £152, and no liabilities. The following officers were elected:— Patron, the Hon. J. G. Coates; president, Mrs. A. E. Harding; vice-presidents, Mesdames Morrish, Qoper and Webb; hon. secretary, Mrs. C. L. Bagnall; hon. treasurer, Mrs. C. S. Rush; hon. advisory board, Messrs. Hayes ami Ross, the Revs, Johnson and Watson, Doctors Crump, Burton and McKiernan; Dargaville committee, Mesdames Sherwood, O'Malley, T. Jones, Peterson, French, Kirton, Dempsey, Paul, Martindale, and Chaplin, with the Tti Kopuru committee ex officio.
