CHURCH WINDOW BROKEN.
MISCHIEF AT pEVONPOPIT.
BOY'S PARENTS TO PAY £10.
A lad, aged 10, appeared before Mr. J. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Juvenile Offenders Court on Saturday, in connection with the damage caused to the Roman Catholic Church at Devonport on September 8, when a window was smashed, damage to the extent of about £50 being done. Two lads were before the Court a fortnight ago, but the one who appeared on Saturday was then too ill to attend. The magistrate adjourned the case for three months, and ordered the boy to be placed under the supervision of the juvenile probation officer, Mr. J. S. Cubit. He ordered the parents to make restitution to the extent of £10.
