ARNST IN GOOD FORM.
[BX T&LEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON. Saturday. The Hamilton Gun Club held a shoot at Ruakura to-day. Among the competitors was R. Arnst, the ex-Australa-gion clay-bird champion. The competitions resulted:— First Open Shoot. —R. Arnst and Dr. F. D. tied with six out of seven bird>- W. J. McMiken, S. Tisdall and R. Whitford tied for third place with five out of seven. In the shoot-off, McMiken won. Novice Handicap.—W. J. McMiken and J. G. Yorkey tied with six out cf seven birds. In the shoot-off, McMik'.n won, three to two. Second Open Shoot. —R. Arnst and L. Curtis tied with nine out of ten birds. R. Whitton was third with eight out of ten. There were 15 competitors. Third Open Shoot. —W. J. McMiken and F. Loughlin tied with six out of seven and McMiken won the shoo'l-off. A £50 shoot is being arranged by the club for October 24.
