MORRINSVILLE AFFAIRS.
LADIES' REST ROOM.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWK CORRESPONDENT.] MOERINSVILLE, Saturday. The Morrinsville Borough Council met last evening, Mr. G. Howie presiding. It was decided to insure the volunteer fire brigade so as to bring them under the Workers' Compensation Act. The finance committee's report showed: Water loan account, credit £189; sewerage loan account, credit £1224; bath loan account, credit £1908; roading loan, credit £4781; district fund account, credit £708. It was decided to have plans and specifications prepared and to call tenders for a ladies' rest room, to be erected in the library buildings. All farmers outside the. borough whose water charges axe overdue are to be given 14 days in which to pay tho arrears, otherwise the water will bo cut off and the. farmers sued for the amounts owing. The Arawa Land Co. applied for a dedication of a road near the new railway station, the road to bo made within 12 months. It was decided to agree to the dedication if the owners 'were prepared to pay the cost of the road. Application is to be made to the Auckland Education Board for a strip of land near the old school, for the purpose-of linking up with a proposed road a.iong the ri\er bank for beautifying purposes.
