D.5.0., who has been appointed assistant-quartermaster-general at general headquarters. Captain Mead served with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force throughout the war, and in 1917-18 commanded the Second Battalion, Canterbury Infantry Regiment, on the western front. *■" - "'
