CW>le Association/ (Reed. 11.5 p.m.) MELBOURNE, July 28 Sir John Luke, M.P. for Wellington Korth, interviewed on his arrival in Melbourne, said he .thought that the . languages of Australia and New Zealand Svere varying. Australians were dropping into a characteristic twang or intonation difficult to describe, but New Zealand was trying to keep to the English way of speaking, which he thought was better. Sir John said Australia was producing beautiful women. They were taller than the New Zealand women,, but they had not the same bloom on f.heir cheeks. Tha reason why few painted and rouged faces Were noticed in New Zealand in comparison to the Australian citie3 was tho difference in the women's complexions.
