MR. JORDAN'S VOTE.

Sir, —In answer to tha letter signed by Mr. D. A. Mooro, I would like to expross regret that Mr. Moore has not answered my query. _ Tho portion of the resolution* to which I took exception -was: " Aitqr leading the electors to believe ho was in favour of tha Bible in schools, recorded his vote against Mr. L. M. Isitt'a bill last week." Mr. Jordan has announced publicly his opinion on this matter aud has voted in the House, in every instance, according to hi 3 public statements. Ebkoi. Bust. Pitt Street, Ellersiie.

Sir,—Permit me, as chairman of committees for Mr. Jordan ah last eleeMdn, to add my protest to that of Mr, L'rrol Bust against the unjustifiable criticism of Mr. Jordan's attitude to the question of the Bible in schools. At no time to my knowledge has Mr, Jordan promised support for tho proposed system. He has stated morn than once from the public platform thali ha favours instruction in Christian principles by parents, ratoer than by teachers and that., much as he admired tho aims of the promoters, he could not give an unqualified support to the system as usually proposal and understood by the general public. Onehunga. J.uua Sargint.
