THE NGARUAWAHIA FATALITY DOUCE FINED THE MAXIMUM.; [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] NGARUAWAHIA. Tuesday. Before Mr. F. W. Platte, S.M., Japies : Thomas Douce was yesterday charged, under the Lights on Vehicles Act, with failing to, dim his car lights when ap- C proaching another car. The case arose out of the accident oc May 17, by which Mrs. E. Q. Steven* lost her life. Defendant was convicted and fined the maximum amount, £1, with' costs, 9s.
