QCUNTY OF WAITEMATA In the matter of the " Local Bodies* Loans Act, 1913," and Regulations made thereunder, the Body Corporate known as the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waitemata, hereby gives notice in terms of Sections 9 <md 10 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1918, that the Waitemata County Council proposes to engage in tho following undertaking, which they are duly authorised to do by law, and being unable to provide the necessary funds for such work out of the ordinary revenue of the Council, propose to raise a Special Loan for that purpose: (a) Road construction, bridge and culvert building, constructing, and metalling roads, and wharf improvements in the Takapuna Riding of the County cf Waitemata, the boundaries of which are legally denned as a legal subdivision, such undertaking to be as set out in the Schedule hereto. . (b) The total amount to be borrowed is £20,000, for a period of 86i years . at a rate of interest not exceeding 6 y : per centum per annum, and provision for the repayment of the Loan will be made by a Sinking Fund of at least It per centum per annum, (c) It is proposed to pay out of the Loan the preliminary expenses in connection with the scheme for which the Loan is proposed to be raised, and ako the cost of raising the Loan, but not the Interest and Sinking Fund for the first year of the Loan. The proposed security for the Loan is a Special Rate of six farthings in the pninid upon the ratable value of all ratable property in the whole of the Takapuna Riding of the County of Waitemata, The provision for the repayment of the Loan is as hereinbefore stated. Castor Bay; Albany Hall, and Aitken's Store, Brown's Bay, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. The Counties' Act now provides that all electors who have not paid their rates and penalties are debarred from voting.
