'.£ meeting of the Civic League was held «a flso Business Girls' on Tuesday evening. The president, Miss Basten, occupied the chair. It was resolved t?>-' & letter be sexri. to Mrs. Rosa congratulating her on her election to the Primary jff Schools Committees Association. A letter Wg had been received from the secretary of \ the Women's National Reserve stating that & meeting in connection with the ■ rest room would be held in tho Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, July 31. The following societies will send representative! Society, Trained Nurses* .Association, Mother's Union, Primary Schools Committees Association, Labour Organisations. Women's Friendly Society Lodges, W.C.T.TL, Women's Progress League. It was resolved that a letter be Bent to the secretary of the Drapery Association, objecting to the dressing by men of women's effigies in shop windows,. At Che next meeting of the league it has been arranged that Mr. Pnrtell will address the members on the nnbi supply and Mrs. Wsison on the fisheries question*
