COMBINED TRADING.
THE DAIRYING INDUSTRY. COMPANIES* ASSOCIATION. fBX XEIJ3G&APH.—OWN COB.HESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON. Tuesday. The objects and aims of the Auckland Provincial Dairy Companies' Association were outlined by Mr. R. J. McCausland, the chairman, in an interview to-day. He said the chief object was to bring about a more economical working of the smaller dairy _ factories by combining orders for materials and securing larger trade discounts. Negotiations had' already been mad« for the purchase of manures. Another object was to endeavour to even up the prices received by dairy companies for butter sold on the local market.. Their endeavours would in no way affect the retail price, but would .be in the direction of basing tho price received from the merchant by the companies on an f.o.b export parity. Violent fluctuations had occurred in the price in tho past. Another point the association desired to give attention to was the quality of the seed and manure 6old to suppliers.
