PRACTICE AT KELBURN PARK. i PROMISE OF GOOD PLAY. fa* XEUSGUA?3.—PEESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Tueedoy. After their reception on the wharf the players were motored to their headquarters, the Empire Hotel. A reception was extended by the Mayor of Wellington and Ministers of the Crown. The team had a practice at Kelburn Park, but was feeling the effects of the voyage. The goalkeeper, a sound custodian, shaped well. The outside right, a fine hooker, centres brilliantly, and the centre-forward shoots hard and low, a good shot. The centre half is a clever, experienced player, and knows the game thoroughly. Judging from the practice the team will give some excellent displays. It is regarded aa a superior team to that which visited Australia last year.
