BICYCLE TAKEN HOME.
ALLEGATION OF THEFT. BUSINESS MAN CHARGED, fBY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHKISTCHUItCH, Tuesday. Described as a city business man, William Gordon Hutchison, of the advertising agency of Gordon Hutchison, Ltd., appeared to-day on a charge that , v he had stolen a lady's bicycle valued at £8. Accused, for whom Mr. Sargent appeared, elected to be tried by jury. In a statement made to the police, Hutchison said the bicycle had been in the building where Mb office was situated for some weeks, and thinking it belonged to his typist he took it home. Evidence was given that Hutchison had a very good business and wan not short of money. He was committed for trial, small bail being allowed.
