THE CANTEEN FUNDS.
ATTITUDE OF THE SOLDIERS.
The third annual reunion of Birkdale ex-service men was held on Saturday. A resolution was carried supporting the attitude of the Auckland Association in regard to the canteen funds, namely, that the sum bo left until it accumulates to £200,000, and be then devoted toward the upkeep of veterans' homes throughout New Zealand and to assist disabled and destitute soldiers generally.
