PROCEEDINGS OF BOARD. [BY TELEGRAPH.— COBSE3PONBENT ] , OTOROHANGA. Sunday. The Waitomo Power Board ; held its first meeting last week. ■,- Mr. W. ■ A. ' Lee .was appointed chairman,; the question of salary being left over. ■■ > ">. It was decided to defer the question of the. purchase of , the Te Kuiti, power plant, as recommended by the Provisional Committee, until, the Finance . Committee and "an engineer (had; reported ; ■ upon : • it. Members generally agreed that it would be necessary to complete the purchase once the actual value was ascertained. .
Finance and Works Committees . .were appointed. •■ Messrs. Vickerman and' Lancaster were appointed'; consulting engineers, and instructed to prepare; a,- complete survey of the inner area. V: - It was decided to apply to the Government for 250 volts of power direct from Horahora. in terms >of, the i application made by the local bpdies in October.
