WOMAN LOSES LEFT HAND.
FALL FROM A TRAIN.
ACCIDENT AT FRANKTON.

HAMILTON,' Saturday.
A serious accident occurred as the southbound Main Trunk express drew into the Frankton station last evening. A passenger named Mrs. Emma Gormley, a married woman, aged 55, a resident of Eangataua, Ohakune, attempted to alight while the train was in motion. She fell, and was dragged a few yards along the line. Mrs. Gormley was found to have he? left hand almost completely severed. She was conveyed to the Waikato Hospital, where the injured limb was amputated just below the elbow.
