SALVATION ARMY.
BRIGADIER GIJNN'S CAREER.
Brigadier Gunn, of the Salvation Army, who is bidding farewell to Auckland this evening, has been appointed to the position of Field Secretary for the Dominion. As a Salvation Army officer Brigadier Gi'nn has had a long and successful career in the _course of which he has held a number of responsible positions. He began his career on the lowest rung of the ladder, and was among those who in the early days of the Salvation Army were imprisoned for preaching in the streets. Mrs. Gunn has also done many years of public work, at all times being a staunch co-worker with her husband.
