Honking presiding, the programme" for the next Spring Mooting, which is to bo hold on October 16 and 18, was considered, and it was decided to increase the prize money from. £2000 to £2500. Appointments of officials were made as —Handicapper, Mr. P. J. • McManemin; starter, Mr. A. Vine wit: starter's assistant, Mr. W. G. Dudley; judge, Mr. E. V. Sutherland; , timekeeper, Mr, E. A. Simmons; clerk of the course, Mr. A. McDonald; clerk of the scales, Mr. W. Curtis; hon. veterinary surgeons. Dr. King and' Mr. Wellsby; hon. surgeons, Drs. Ward . and Buckley: farrier Mr. W. Tobin; marshal steward, ' Colonel J. N. McCarroll. •... • The matter of the proposed new course on the reclaimed ground 'at the harbour front was discussed, and ■it was eventually decided that the members of the club be invited to visit the ground with the committee.
