REPAIRS TO A MOTOR-CAR
DISPUTE REGARDING CHARGE
Considered judgment was given by Mr. McKean in the Magistrate's Court yesterday in a suit brought by John Milne, motor engineer, of Mount Eden (Mr. F. W. L. Milne), to recover from Boag and Simm, Ltd., vulcanisers, of Auckland (Mr. Luxford), the sum of £173 13s lid in respect of repairs to a motor-car. Defendants contended that the charges were unreasonable and excessive, and paid into Court the sum of £108 4s lid. The magistrate expressed the opinion that the claim had been shown to be excessive, though to ; what extent there was not sufficient evidence to show. Plaintiff was as to the balance abovo the sum paid into Court. A counter-claim for goods amounting to £17 17s was admitted, and judgment was entered accordingly. "
