KILLED BY A LORRY.
DRIVER FALLS FROM SEAT.
AN ACCIDENTAL OCCURRENCE.
The death of Mr. William James Morley, aged" 58, -who was killed through falling from a lorry in Kingstone Avenue, Mount Roskill, on Wednesday morning, was the subject of an inquest before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., yesterday. The evidence showed that the lorry, loaded with scoria, became stuck in the clay on a section on which a new building is being erected. A portion of the scoria was unloaded, and when being extricated the lorry struck the kerbing so violently that the driver was thrown off, "the rear right wheel passing over his head and body. • A verdict was returned to the effect that deceased was accidentally killed.
