i .The ' -monthly meeting of the board of directors of the Auckland Young Women's Christian Association was held last Friday, Mrs. 6. H. Wilson presiding, It was reported that the Y.W.C.A. was to - have visits from two national secretaries in the near future. Miss Leila W. Bridgman, new national girls', work secretary (foimerly girls' work secretary' of the Y.W.C.A. in Auckland) would visit the association in hsr new capacity from May 23, to June 5, and Miss Esther L. Anderson, national general secretary, would arrive immediately" after, staying in Auckland from June 7, to 10. -* ; It was also reported that Miss Jean Stevenson -was coming to take up the r position of acting-general secretary for six? months of the time during which Miss Griffin was on leave of absence. Miss Griffin was granted a year's leave of absence for health reasons, but at no expense. to tfce association. Miss Stevenson (takes up her duties: on Monday, May IS. 'Arrangements were made for big combined welcomes to Miss Stevenson and Miss Bridgman, on Wednesday, May 28 : one to be given by the "women members in the afternoon and one by the girls in the evening., * ~ i *- : •1 ' It was reported that a camp had been held at Easter at Campbell's Bay, twelve girls attending, . and „ that tho bed-and-breakfast? accommodation ■at the administrative building continued (to be very popular, being frequently taxed to' its full capacity even though the rush of the summer months was over. • ■M . . ———" ■ •; i
