Addresing the women's unionist organisation at the Queen's Hall, Mr. Stanley Baldwin, Leader of the Unionists, said that the conduct of the Government regarding the McKenna duties and Imperial preference showed a lamentable lack of imagination and understanding. , ,It had failed to realise that .the prosperity of the Empire stood as a whole and that it could not hit one part without damaging another. ' * - ; , • . If we do not co-operate with the Dominions in trade, said Mr.- .Baldwin, they must inevitably, as time goes on, co-operate with. others.
