The Parliamentary correspondent of the Daily Herald states that it should not be imagined that earlier schemes for a revived coalition under Mr. D. Lloyd * George, Mr. Winston Churchill and Lord Birkenhead have been entirely dropped. It is significant that Mr. Stanley Baldwin, leader of the Unionist Party, went out of his "way to welcome Mr. ; Winston Churchill's proposal that the Liberals and Conservatives should co-operate in the House of Commons, the division lobbied and the constituencies, against Socialism in favour of a broad, general policy -as enunciated in the King's speech.
