War Loans,' 1930 and 1938, available at £97, had inquiry at £96 10s. Soldiers' ; Inscribed. . Stock were sought at £100 17s 6d, sellers £101 7s 6d. There was, inquiry for the majority of other War Loan issues, at recent buying rates, .holders. not quoting. In banks Union of Australia sold. at £14 12s, with further inquiry at £14 lis. New Zealands had buyers at 52s 3d, sellers 52s 6dj Acstralasias, buyers £13 3s, sellers £13 7s. There was inquiry for Nationals of New Zealand at £6 15s. In insurances South British changed hands at 40s 3d, late buyers offering 40s, sellers 40s 9d. . New Zea-1 lands, wanted at 29s 7d, Had sellers at! 30s. In gas there was a sale of Ancklands at 25s 6d, with more available at the same | figure, late buyers offering 25s 3d. . The ! contributing- issue sold at 3s lOd. In shipping there was inquiry for Northern ; ' Steamship at 15s 9d. y: Huddart-Parkers had buyers at 42s 9d, sellers 43s 3d. P. and O. deferred stock, quoted at £300, had ! inquiry at £280. . In timbers business was j done in Nationals at 225, further buyers offering 21s 6d, sellers f 225. ' In miscellaneous lines there was a sale of Wilsons Cement at 30s, with further inquiry at 29s 6d, sellers 30s. In mining Waihis ; were sold at 31s 3d, late buyers offering j the ; same figure, sellers 31s 6d. Waihi Grand Junctions had buyers at 2s 6d, sellers 3s;, Moanataiaris, buyers Is 3d, sellers 2s.
