' / NORTHERN WHEAT PROSPECTS^ The latest data received by the Interna-' tional Institute of Agriculture are confirmatory of the reduction in the aggregate area under winter-sown cereals in comparison with that of last season. The ascertained figures, from a group of 15 countries whioh usually furnish about 80 per cent, of the wheat and 55 per cent, of the rye grown in the Northern Hemisphere (exclusive of Russia) indicate a decrease of 5 per cent, for wheat and 1 per cent, for rye. _ The greater part of this decrease is due td the restriction in area under winter cereal crops in the United States. The United States Government has communicated . the ' fact that the, farmers are also intending to sow less spring : wheat. „ • MANAWAfu STOCK SALES. Dalgety and Company. Ltd..
