ILLNESS OF MR. BIRKS. RETURNING TO DOMINION. [by. TELEGRAPH. — CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON. Wednesday. Mr. Laurence Birks, chief' electrical engineer, who recently left New Zealand to attend the World Power, Conference got only" as far as Australia where he had to seek medical advico and the report being unfavourable he decided to return to New Zealand. Should he be unable to continue his voyage New Zealand will most probably bo represented at the conference by Mr. Evan Parry, of the English Electrical Company, who was formerly in the employ of the New Zealand Government and Sir James Allen, High Commissioner in London. .
