MOTOR STUCK IN MUD.

A mail car winch left Te Kuiti for Taumarunui at noon on Saturday, with three passengers, was reported as being stuck in the mud about 17 miles from Taumarunui, at 3.30 p.m. on Sunday. The . roads were described a3 "a nightmare of mud." In one place the car had to be pulled out of five mud holes in one hour. The passengers spent the night in the car, which was stuck in the mud. Heavy rain continues to fall and shows no signs of abating. .
