NORTH AUCKLAND HIGHWAYS.
Sir,—The Russell Town Board wishes respectfully to draw attention to the great desirability of placing the road leading to Opua on the list of the main roads of the district, as this road is the only one leading to the main port of the Bay of Islands, and is essentially necessary for the development of not only this district, but the whole of the North generally, as no other outlet to deep water is obtainable. Wo hereby endorse the action of the Bay of Islands County Council in protesting against its exclusion. T. R. Clow, Chairman, Russell Town Board.
