LIVE CATTLE FOR HOME.
SHIPMENT FROM AFRICA. Sun. LONDON. April 7. An experimental shipment of 350 SouthWest African fat cattle, which have arrived at Birkenhead, will be slaughtered immediately. The South-West African Government is co-operating with the wholesale meat dealers in Birkenhead in this experiment. If it is successful regular shipments will follow from April to August, during which months Canadian and Irish supplies of cattle diminish.
