BOXING TOURNAMENT.
[BY TELEGRAPH-—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON. Tuesday. The Frankton Boxing Association held a tournament last evening. In the professional feather-weight contest between Bert Browne (Hamilton), Bst. 131b., and H. Hudson (Auckland), Bst. 131b., for a purse of £50, the boxers were fairly evenly matched. Hudson, got the verdict by a small margin. Mr. E. M.eale was referee. S. Dawsett (Hamilton), lOst. 91b., and G. Vernall (Frankton), lOst. 101b., drew. Robson (Morrinsvi'le), Bst. 101b., defeated B. Hamilton (Frankton), Bst. 71b., ou a foul. Soloman (Frankton), lOst., defeated Bell (Ngaruawahia). 9st. 101b. J. Robson (Te Aroha), Bst. 101b. and C. Vernall (Frankton), 7st. 101b.,' drew. S. Complon (Frankton) 9st. 12'b., defeated Bishara (Te Kuit'i). 9st. 51b. J. Forbes (Pukekohe), sst 21b., defeated F. Stewart (Hamilton) sst. 21b. -Mr. A. Pooley was referee.
