PROPOSED NEW STATION.
SITE IN NORTH ISLAND.
TECHNICAL EXPERTS' VIEW.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] CHEISTCHURCH. Thursday. A communication relative to the offer of a site on Mount Pleasant for the proposed Dominion high-power station, to form one of a series of Empire wireless stations, has been received by the representatives of the Morten estate from the Postmaster-General. Mr. Coates says that it is regretted that the Mount Pleasant site cannot be adopted. He adds that, in the opinion ol the technical advisers of his department, the proposed station should be situated in the North Island.
